Why need Consultant?

Consultant is really important occupation. An organization needs consultant to solve problems. So a consultant must know a lot in some specific fields. As I know, there is my lab friend, Sofi, who wants to be a consultant in the future. It has no doubt that she is definitely qualified. She is a nice, well-knowledged, and intelligent person I have never met. She works hard, but never complains. She treats everything so serious that she will be fooled around sometimes. Although she looks like Chinese, she can not speak chinese at all. She has Chinese feature, which means she is very humble and polite. Oh, why do I keep introducing Sofi? Because she is only person I know who is going to be a consultant. A good consultant can save a lot of money and lower the risk for the company. Besides, consultant can earn much money. Why not have the dream to be a consultant? like Sofi ;)

Exhibition on 6th March

Last Friday, March 6th, our group members went to the tool machine exhibition which locates in Taipei world trade center NanGang exhibition hall together. There were too many students so that not all of us took professor Wang’s van. Jerry, Vic, and I took the mass rapid transportation, or MRT, at the technology building station on the brown line, and transferred the train to blue line, NanGang station. At the beginning, I thought the people who took van would get there early, so I gave them the permission. Nevertheless, Jerry, Vic and I arrived first, we could not enter the exhibition. After few minutes, they arrived finally. And we all took the photo in front of the exhibition gate. There were around twelve people going to the tool machine exhibition. The show venues are very large which locates four regions: NanGang exhibition hall, Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Hall 1, Hall 2, and Hall 3. Each show venue has its main theme such as CAD-CAM software, quality control/inspection & measurement equipment, automation & control, machine tool components, tube & wire processing equipment, and industrial robot are in TWTC exhibition hall 1. What surprised me is that the precise cutting and ergonomic design. And most of these machines are controlled by computer which is computer numerical control (CNC) products. We saw a lot of companies displaying good machines; meanwhile Jerry and Iris kept taking photos of themselves. There are plenty of foreigners in exhibition. Iris saw two foreigners who were staring up and down at her. And Iris stared back. It seemed they were flirting. A while later, one of these two foreigners came to us and started to talk to us. Foreigners are always active. We had a short conversation and then continued to watch. At that time, Alex and I went downstairs to watch another machine show. There, we saw many show girls and hosts, which made the exhibition much more interesting. During lunch time, we found the food there is so expensive that we decided to go to Shi-da night market. However, Alex and Ricardo had bought mosburger. Then, Ricardo still stayed in NanGang exhibition hall, we went to Shi-da to have lunch. Jerry, Vic and I took free shuttle bus to TWTC Hall 1. And then we transferred to the No. 1 bus to the intersection of Roosevelt road and Shi-da road station. It took us about an hour to get there. With Javier’s recommendation, we ate in the restaurant which is foreigners’ favorite. Actually, the meal I ordered was not as delicious as others’. Suddenly, I found the man looked familiar, and then I recalled he is Jack from England. Last time, I sang with him and his wife, Catherine. After he left, he came here to greet us, and exchanged the contact information. He said he wants someone to talk to Chinese so that his Chinese can improve. Practice makes perfect. So my English do. I ought to learn it from Jack.

Joke about George Bush

American President George Bush rode his personal rider, mountain bike, one day. Suddenly, he tumbled from that bike and was sent to hospital right away. The physician examined the president, and then gave him a prescription. When Bush went home, he opened the prescription. It said, "president Bush's brain has two parts, the right part is nothing left, and the left part is nothing right. Hush, don't tell anybody, it is a national secret!"

First time to cooperate with Foreigner

This semester, I take the couse named entrepreneurship principles and practices.
My partner is Richard who is from Holland. Actually, he cannot read Chinese cause he just came to Taiwan 2 weeks ago.(not sure) We made the discussion at 16:30, but he didn't show up at that time. He made me think of those attending Taiwanese's wedding party are always late for around 30 minutes. In fact, Richard showed up at about 17:00. He doesn't have bike, so he walks. When he reached, he was wet because of sweat. Then, he saw the paper I translated Chinese website into English version and made the ppt. His English typing is really fast! It took us 25 minutes to finish the ppt. Originally, I want to be the presentor, but I am afraid of that situation suddenly. Luckily, he did a good job even though he didn't familiar with content he was going to present.
Here comes a conclusion, I have to sharpen up my English ability...

The First Party

When I was here in taipei, yesterday was the first time to take advantage of the kalaokay machine to hold a party. When it was 17:00 which is the time party begins, there was no people coming, even a cat...We were afraid there are only lab members in the end. Luckily, around at 17:20, Sally, Jenny and Bill came.Later, more and more people came. No wonder everyone says that to be late is one of major traits for taiwanese. At the beginning, all people are shy because other didn't know each other. After a while, Alex and I ordered a song,"鹿港小鎮", we began to lose ourselves. In the middle of party time, Dr.Wang asked everyone to introduce self IN ENGLISH, because there was a British man, Jack, who don't know Chinese well. Although I have introduced myself in English many times, I still felt nervous!
During singing time, I finded out that what Kevin can sing is what I love. So match! by the way, Kevin is from China. He is a serious man, but I think we can become good friends. Why??? Because I am a serious person as well. :)
The Presents: Dr.Wang, British couple(Jack&Catherine), Helen, Alice, Anna, Bill, Shelly, Jenny, Charlie, Kevin, Jerry, Alex, Brian

The coming vacation

I am so glad that Dr. Wang announced we have two weeks off during the next two coming weeks.
Since I came to Taipei、it have been almost two months. During these two months、at the beginning、I went home frequently. The following days、I haven't gone home for a long time.
At this moment、I am going to sing a song、"Taipei isn't my homwtown、because there is no neon light there."
However、recently、It seems that I have got accustomed to the BusyCity、Taipei. The pace here is always quick、pedestrian walks as fast as airplane. And、now、my pace is as fast as train...I will catch them up !
Come to the topic、I have to take advantage of this vacation. I have lots of plans now...
